Hypnosis Self Help-Two Letters
Every year, I write two letters. One letter reflects on the past year, all that I accomplished, all that I am grateful for, and any significant events. Whether you had worries about finances, family, health, it is important now to look at how these events affected you and your decisions. If you had to pick a theme of growth for the last year, what would it be? What did you need to learn the most? What changes have you made? If you are still beating yourself up about a decision or action, are you ready to put an end to that hurtful behavior. What did you accomplish last year that made you feel good about yourself? What did you do to celebrate this accomplishment? I may keep this letter or I may burn it.
My second letter I write about the year to come and my goals, wishes, and dreams and how they came into fruition. If there are behaviors that I would like to change, I write about how the change affected my life and how I feel about it. I also break down the achievement of specific goals by months, so that I have established completion dates. And I always end the letter by expressing gratitude for what I have in my life - family, friends, great clients and students, and the opportunity to be doing what I love. This letter I will keep for a full year.
If you have decided to make resolutions or goals for your year, begin by visualizing the changes have already been made. If you feel any resistance or thoughts about past attempts at goals, you will want to turn up the volume on your determination and feel the passion of your desire. Being open to new ideas and expanding your thinking will assist in the pursuit of your goals.
Ask yourself the following questions:
If you don’t attain your goal, how will that affect your life? Will your life stay the same and is that satisfactory to you? Will your life change in any way, good or bad? How does that make you feel?
If you attain your goal, how will that effect your life? Will your life stay the same and is that satisfactory to you? Will your life change in any way, good or bad? How does that make you feel?
Go for what you really want and have a wonderful year.
